About
Quinha Faria (Campinas, Brazil, 1988) is a nurse and visual artist based in Portland, OR. While working as a Emergency Room nurse in Philadelphia, Quinha apprenticed master tailor Larnell Baldwin to learn patternmaking and custom garment manufacturing. During that time, she founded the Philadelphia Packaging Company, a nine-person collective that distributed free, print publications honoring the stories of small business owners in Philadelphia. Her work has been included at various national shows such as Vox Populi, Asian Arts Initiative, Mural Arts in Philadelphia and Frieze New York. Quinha is pursuing her MFA in painting at Bard.
Her first solo exhibition will be in April 2024 at Carnation Contemporary in Portland, OR.
